Awesome! I have no machining experience, so I thought internal splines were accomplished by an army of chimpanzees with little chisels.

Is the correct spline depth cut with just one of the mandrels, or do you have to step up to another to make consecutively deeper cuts? By the looks of the holes in the hub, it looks like you're doing everything possible for weight savings...

    Most impressive...

I've got to get my shop set up with equipment like that. What is the cost of some of the different machines you use for building these parts? Maybe I'll forward the info to Recreatives so they can buy their own machines and make their own parts!

    "MaxRules"

Let me help you with your question. I have some knowlage of the prices of some of the equipent needed. A water jet new = $250,000, a 10 foot shear up to 1/4" material = $80,000, 8 foot hydraulic press brake, 120 ton, $60,000, tig welder with built in water cooler $3,000 and the cost of a good friend that will create cnc programs for you = pricless

Of corse there are many other machines he uses, that I don't not know the cost of, CNC mill, CNC lathe, and machines to make axels etc.

    Hope this helps.
