    Attex Fuel Question

Good afternoon fellow 6x6ers. I have a 76 super chief, with a bit of a fuel problem that I am reaching out to the masses to figure out. When I am cold starting the machine, it wont grab sufficient fuel to start. It does not burp or anything it just keeps cranking until the battery dies. When I prime the cylinders (a little gas in each one) it starts and stays running fine indicating that it is pulling fuel. I have the mikuni fuel pump, but I must confess that it is just hanging in the air, and not attached to the frame. It is connected to the block and seems to be getting the requisite crank pressure to pull a feed after the engine is running. Should I mount it, and if so, should it be above the carb or is below it. Thanks.

    Exclamation fuel shortage

hi, attach it lower than carb, NOT on engine, as it gets hot and may cause a fire... they sell oneway inline valves cheap, usefull too , that will hold a primer too.

Hi PatB, here is an inline primer on ebay cheap. I think Attex and some other manufacturers of AATV's used these. Hopefully this will help you out.
