    T-20?

Im having a few problems with my hustler. My T-20 is grinding when I turn and when I turn I cant turn gradually.. I have to make a hard turn or it will grind. I dont think it has anything to do with chain tightness or alighnment, also i took some of the shroud off of my motor when I was doing some work to it and I took it for a little spin around the yard and it seemed to get really hot. did the shroud act as a heat shield? any input is greatly appreciated.

Koda, that sounds like the way a T-20 normally acts? Or have you had other T-20s and this one just sounds/acts differently?

Well It's the grinding Im worried about..The turning isnt smoothe. It didnt do this before..The t-20 is jerky and you can hear it grind when I turn. Its not acting normal and im hopeing it wont take too much to fix.

    Hey, Koda, Nice machine.

If the grinding is indeed coming from inside the T20, the prognosis isn't very good. I'd drain the make sure that's where the noise is coming from and then drain the oil and have a look. If there's metal flakes in the oil, I'd open the cases up and see what's inside.

Once you remove the shrouding from a fan-cooled engine, you lose the channelling of the air over the fins, and most of your cooling.
