Well that will make (4). I just purchased the Ken Adams Springer from Jim Cheney. Any old springer racers out there know the history of this machine?

Awesome car! I edited/copied your post here ( http://www.6x6world.com/forums/6x6-a...-springer.html ) so we can talk about your springer and hopefully find out about its history:

All we need is for the 'Country Bumpkin to get resurrected. It's sitting down in PA behind this crazy guy's house... Gotta find that phone number....

Make that five if I can put something together that has a chance to keep up.

It seemed that the "country bumpkin" and the "bad ass" springers were at almost every race that I saw when I was a kid. I keep seeing the "bad ass" on ebay last time was in Indiana w/out an engine.

I saw that racer on ebay too. It seems that it has traded owners on ebay over the past year or two at least 3 times. I think the owner out in Indiana never sold it for his reserve, which was around $1000 I believe. I'll see if I can find the link for it and post it up.

Heres the link. I think when it was first sold on ebay it went for around $1000-$1200. Maybe someone can track it down and email this ebayer to see if he still has it if they really want to race it in Ashtabula, OH with all of us.

It seems we came a little way from this thread - I still want to see if anyone has the video of my first race in 1994 with Bumpkin and Dad.
