Thread: Alaska Muddox Prices

  1. #11
The alders in the background threw me off... was I at least close on the spread?? I remember moose hunting up on the Kashwitna back in the 80's, we were riding Honda big reds back then. I think the Mudd Ox will do a hell of a lot better crossing some of those swamps. Especially with 600 lbs of moose meat and a camp.

My wife was easy to convince, I drug out all of my old learn to fly books and told her I wanted to get a plane. After a couple if days showing her $100,000 supercubs she gladly agreed...

    Big Moose

Whhoooo! The antlers on the Moose looked like they weighed more than you. that had to be an 800 pound plus moose.

    Mudd Ox Crew

I consider myself a fair judge of character. After meeting the Alaska Mudd Ox crew I recognized them to be the old style Alaskan folks. Sort of a "kindred spirit" type of thing.
I have also met some of the other dealers and came away a bit caucious to say the least.
By the way I just flunked my cat scan yesterday, seriously.
As soon I get up from all of the whacking, I plan on getting my Mudd Ox, and I will be offering it for demo on my mountain top for anyone who happens by.
I'm excited about the machine and will be glad to show it off.
Put me on your prayer list, please.

Bubba - You are in our prayer chain - hope everything works out great for ya

Brian - Yes, you are close on the spread

Moose weight - well we actually shot two that day - the one in the picture and another just one hour later - we ended dropping off over 1200 pounds at the processor (mostly full quarters and boned out ribs). With gut piles averaging about 300 pounds each. That's 900 pounds each not including antlers, hide, fat, unusable meat, etc. so we estimated each bull at about 1250+ pounds!

Currently arguing with the wife on Mudd-Ox lol! Better get back to it, just had to look for some ammunition on the site!

    Good Morning George,
Headed off to Church in a few moments and will be sure you are on our prayer list here in North Carolina. Best of luck!

    Thanks

Well, Tues is the big day.
Can't wait to get this mess over. I will do well without that kidney and foot of colon.
Thanks for all of your words of encouragement and prayers.
It's always nice to have folks pulling for you.
I'll be back in the swamps before long, hopefully running that Mudd Ox.
I do wish this dad-blasted volcano would simmer down. That ash sure is making things nasty and smells like rotten eggs. Can't stand to look at an egg!
See you all as soon as I can get back to the forum.
    Thanks again.
    Bubba
