are you talking about the govener weights? if so there should be timing marks on the gears.they will either be a line or a v indented into the gears that you will have to line up.

    Hey eightwheeler,
Where are you in Ont? I have a manual that would be of use to you. If you are not near London, perhaps I can scan the pages you need and e-mail to you.
    Cheers,
    Al

I'm just up the path from you near Brantford, does your manual say any thing about counter weights?

    Hey eightwheeler,
Sorry I haven't been back earlier with the info for you, but I was sent off to the USA for a 2 month long business trip the next day. The maintenance book I have does list both of the Tecumseh engines, with and with out the counter balance weights. Unfortunely I will not be near the manual until 3 July. Are you in dire need of the info? If so I can contact my son-in-law to get the info to you.
    Cheers,
    Al

    Hey eightwheeler,
I am back for a couple of weeks. Are you still in need of the information for your engine?
Please let me know and I will get it to you.
    PM if need be.
    Cheers,
    Al
