Axle test. Which one is more bent?

Whipper got a bent Attex today from someone from parts unknown that was bent by another someone from parts unknown. They may want to remain anonymous, (but we know who they are, don't we?) Anyway, I wanted to let the designated driver of that vehicle see how really bad it could have been so he didn't feel so bad, so Whipper took a comparison pic of the 1" Attex axle & the 1 1/4" Max axle that I took out on that jumping rock. I hit so hard I thought I broke my nose on the windshield. Then I realized, wait a minute, I don't have a windshield. So, what do you think? Which one is more bent?

Bridget, I didn't know that an axle could be bent that bad still in the car. Wow!

I always thought Hydromike really drove his machines hard and then I see what you did, Bridget, haha. WOW, you and Whipper must really push your machines to their limits and beyond if you are bending axles like that. Anyways, for just the basic plain jane Attex axles I use just a piece of 1" cold rolled steel with 2 holes drilled, one for the hub, and the other for the sprocket pin to go through. If I were you, I would want to talk to Whipper about making you up a set of axles. Hydromike an myslef will be testing out Whipper's Attex axles on some 50mph Attex race machines. If they hold up on them, which they more than likely will, Im sure they would be just fine for a 400 Chief.

I can't stop looking at that axle...this is the worst that I ever did:

YouTube - Max II bent Axle

That doesn't even look bent in comparison

Whipper said the skeleton has to come out of the closet. Here's the video of us finally back @ the trailer the day I took IT OUT. What a sweetheart, he drove it 7 miles of the 11 mile wash like that. It just cleared the tub. Believe it or not, I've never gotten a traffic ticket, ever, but I guess off road I have no rules. Now that my Max is a springer, I don't expect this will happen again.
