I just bought some rims and tyers yesterday. the tyers are 22X12.5X8 ,they are mounted on a set of 7.5" wide rims. The minum width for the tyers in the catalog is 9". My gues is that the rims have to be split and widened by 2.5" That would make the rim 10" ,2.5" narrower than the tyre, am I on the right track .
I was thinking more of getting the tread to sit square to the ground. The tire would only have a bigger diameter if it were pumprd up tighter, because it would tend to colaps at the ground on normal presure.
