    Carolina Orange Crush (Springer)

Well today was a pretty good day. I received my Springer kit today and just so happens it my Birthday! How cool is that! It arrived from Arizona yesterday and i picked it up today.

I purchased a body and trans from George in October of last year and was undecided which direction to go so i just started on the body and concentrated on that part.

After Astabula i made up my mind to go with a springer and started working towards that goal. I have posted some odd photos on my gallery and member probably thought "what is that". These 1/3 plates in the pictures are test plates to ensure the fit. The reason behind this is that the ABS bodies are different than the poly. The ABS is deeper according to what year model also the clutch protrusion is different and in its radius so that had to be worked out.. Now the kits fit both Abs and Poly. Since this is the first ABS we wanted to make sure of fit of the side plates.

This is the 3rd generation springer with all the updates. Whipper is constantly working to refine his work. They have been great to work with on this project. Even got the rollcage parts for me, now how great is that! The hoops are already to go.

My wife named it the orange crush and Bridget and George added the Carolina portion. The paint scheme will be Tangalo orange pearl. I will post up a picture of the paint color.

Power plant is in near future.

Now the work begins and the sanding stops.

100_1678.jpg Man there are a lot of parts

100_1679.jpg Parts and more parts. Whipper even helped with
    rims.
