TruTrax on 2017 Frontier S 6x6 - Has anyone done this?

Just brought home my new 2017 Argo Frontier S 6x6. It has the 24.10.00-8NHS Carlisle AT189 tires on it. I want to use my 13" TruTrax from my old machine since I just purchased them in December and only used them one time.

I am getting conflicting information on how many segments to use. According to Richard at Richard's Relics, the Tru Trax application chart calls for 33 segments. The Argo documentation for their Argo 13" plastic tracks calls for 31.5 segments. This is a bit confusing to me because i thought the Argo and TruTrax were the exact same size.

I am hoping someone has the same set up and can tell me how many TruTrax segments they used on their 6x6.

    Thanks,

    Greg

I did the install on Saturday, 32 segments per side. The job was easy. The most important step was to pull all the tires, load them at 5#'s air pressure each and measure the circumference and put the largest two on the back of the argo. The track installation guide from Argo has the step by step instructions to follow, the only difference is that you would use 32 tru trax segments per side.

Good news! How do the TruTrax perform in ice and snow?

I've never had to use the plastic segmented tracks (truTrax or Argo plastic) in deep snow, but they have done well in 6-8" of snow over the years. For the times when we had a lot of ice out on the marsh, ice wasn't very friendly. Sometimes you struggle to gain any traction.

I'm guessing that ice with any track without ice traction hardware would be challenging...
