The Plastics just don't cut it on hard surfaces and are super noisy on ice and hard packed trails in the winter.
I miss my rubber tracks for their smoothness and high speed. They pack down a rutted up trail nicely too and don't hurt a gravel road which my Escargo's chew up pretty aggressively. Next in line is to buy a set of Adairs to try out and can't leave out the Channel tracks for $hits and giggles...
Also planning on getting an 8 wheel Argo Tub trailer here soon with the 24" tires and 18" and 13" wide tracks for it. Then I can have a track for every situation and environment I plan to use them in for the Argo and for the trailer! Just don't think I could ever go back to a non-swimming track though. Been spoiled with the Escargo's that way, they just may be a bit too aggressive and slow for my overall use and would like to try the others to compare to.
Good real world info here. Perhaps it should be added to the "end all" track post.
