I thought about it a few weeks back actually. My conclusion was: the only suitable foam I know of would be the blue can of great stuff as it has give to it, it would only prevent flat tires, NOT ad additional flotation ability, as the foam weighs more than air, filling the tires with foam would be a pain in the @$$ and how would you know when to stop besides just leaving the inner stem piece out of the valve. I could be wrong about all of this, but this was my conclusion from logical thinking. I like the idea for run flats, but I am unsure as to how you would get the pressure correct.

Wouldn't a foam filled tire be like riding a bike with solid tires? at least that is how a foam filled bob cat tire feels

I would imagine it would depend on the density of the foam. Thats another reason why I said blue great stuff. The red or the black would harden like a rock and has no give. Even the blue stuff would probably stiffen the ride a bit, at least in my mind.

I HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE WITH FOAM YOU SEE I AM A PLUMBER AND WORK ALONE A GOOD BIT SO WHEN I HAD HELP ONE DAY I WANTED TO SET A LARGE CORNER WHIRLPOOL. When you set one of these monsters you need to support the bottom we us cement or drywall mud or foam.which. was new at the time.so anyway we set the tub with me to return later and put foam under the tub.i put 3 cans under the tub. later in the week someone had removed a part from an overflow in another house going to settlement so i turned to that tub for the missing part.well i walked into the bathroom to find the tub and all the plumbing had raised 1 1/2 off the tub deck.lol lesson learned. so the moral of the story is be careful with foam it grows on ya.
