Those are the 24" argo frontier tire. You can only get them from argo and Ive heard they dont take abuse well. Pretty soft and easy to rip a hole in them I guess.

Country ,

This has been asked before , and I,m pretty sure that Carlisle makes these tires , but only for Argo . You will have to buy them through an Argo dealer

Rock Doctor has a set and he loves his. They work great in the mud and water speed is great but if I rode in a lot of rock that would not be good. I plan on getting a set soon for my conquest 8X8. Cougar

I have a friend in the tire supply business. It is true, for now, the Argo tires are sold EXCLUSIVELY thru Argo dealers. Once the contract is filled, as far as the set number of tires ODG had to agree to, or extend the exclusivity contract, then we will be able to buy them, minus the "Argo" logo on the side wall, from anyone that sells the runamuck. (these are ""Goodyear tread pattern, pat. pend." )to be sure!

So who makes them Carlisie or Goodyear ? I think Argo been putting them on now for two years . So maybe in a year or so we will be able to get them at a tire shop. Cougar

Cougar ,

Carlisie is the company that makes them "exclusively" for Argo . I talked to the Hoot ETV president , Andrew Davis , a few days ago , and he told me that they would start making their own copy of the Carlisie tire in the future . According to him , the Frontier style tire is VERY popular with people that own a Hoot . He said it swims better , muds better , and rides MUCH better than the 23 inch rawhides , that come stock on the Hoot . When I asked him about patent infringement , he told me in Canada that would not be a problem , since there are so many tires made with almost similar tread patterns .

Good to hear!! The "Argo" tire is WAY over-priced!! I get Goodyear Runamuck's for about $40.00 U.S. thru friends in the tire business & I'm waiting for a similar, affordable "knock-off" of the 24" Frontier. Already got 8 rims waiting to put them on. (I need the Runamucks for my tracks).

My experience with the Frontier tires was less positive and more negative. My 2008 Frontier came with the "New" designed tires and I ended up swapping them out for 25inch Rawhide III.

In the water there was no comparison, the Frontier tires where fast and had great turning control and when you blasted the throttle the front end lifted out of the water like a boat.

In the mud I found the Rawhide III better to get me out of the thick stuff and floated across the surface better in the cat tails and bull rushes.

The ride of the Frontier tires on hard or rutted trail was like driving a car with no shocks. They would shoot out of a pothole or rutt ok but continue to bounce compromising control. I tried every imaginable air pressure and even had a chance to put them on an Avenger and had the same result.

In the first 20 hours of drive time in fairly tame conditions I had 2 of the tires break a bead. They did air up easily and showed no damage but I have now ran 130 hours with the Rawhide III with only one such incident and it was at speed in a tractor rutt.

I found, and so did a rider with 1000+ hours driving Argos, the Frontier tires do not live up to the hipe.

It took only 5 minutes into a test ride after swapping out the Frontier tires for the Rawhide III to call the dealer and trade my Frontier tires for the Rawhide III's.

I hope this helps!
