If you decide to make the Marengo Swamp run ,you better bring some tires better than rawhides , to make it though suicide hole .

It would be like "Ya'all stand back so ya don't get hurt" cause the mud would be flyin'. Don't get me thinking about tires, cause I want 9 of 'em and wheels too. Guess I need to get off the computer and go to work!

Swamp ride

I have taken a week off work during this run and we meet mudbug in La. Don't know if I can make the suicide but everything else looked a lot easier than the terrain i have around here. hopefully by then I'll have all the kinks worked out of my Max and Be ready to go. The Trail ride I took with Greasemonkey, McCoy and Mike taught me alot about six wheeling. there are certain things you can only learn by watching someone else with more experience and learning from them. I learned a little someting from everyone. Some times you got to power through, sometimes you have slow down and walk it through. Whatever the situation calls for. The more you ride AATV's the more you realize you are seldom really stuck, you just have to change your plan of attack and try something else!

I hope you can make Roger, and I hope by then you'll have your Argo 24" tires. With all eight of those swimmers maybe you'll be able to do better than the rest of us! Lets get down and give it our best. Buy then I should have my max set up the way I want it!

Dan you said it all right there! Someone could have the biggest, baddest machine with the most aggressive tires on it, but if they absolutely no experience at all behind the sticks, they wouldn't be able to maneuver their way through a mud hole that a driver with experience and just an average machine could.

Roger, if you are looking for new tires I would recomend either Motorcycle Parts, Motorcycle Accessories by BikeBandit.com. They have the lowest prices I have ever come across on the net. Sometimes www.tiresunlimited.com is good too depending on what you're looking for. Click this link and it will give you the list of all of the different brands and tire sizes to select from.

Roger check out these Carlise Chevrons 24x12x12 they would fit your argo and give you a good combination of water speed and mudding-when you get to this page at tires unlimited click on the picture button to see what they look like. I think these tires would be awsome on your argo with you at the sticks.

Hope ya'll come out, we don't get many 6 wheelers at this ride. There is one guy that brings his almost every year, and seems to do good. Although I've never seen him try the Suicide hole.

The Marengo swamp ride is 13 miles of Louisian gumbo mud. Pictures do not do it justice. There were almost 3500 people there, and it raised about $100,000 last year to grant wishes for termanily ill children.

Prerigistration is $15.00 it will be $20.00 at the gate. You will also need La. hunting or fishing license, or you can get a wildlife managment one day pass.

You can check Wish I Could of NELA for more info. Wish I Could of NorthEast Louisiana

I almost forgot the ride is June 7. Most people get there the day before and set up camp.

I just recently noticed they made a 24.. I knew they made a 22x8. They look like a copy of the goodyear rawhide(pre III) that swims so good. I have 9" wheels though, not 12, so would have to get k rims in 12. There are two tires I'd love to have, this one, and a Titan tru power AT 23x12. Looks like a terra grip.
