Are the bolt holes the same distance away from the hub on both axles?

I wonder if you got Max II axles, or Max Buffalo truck axles instead of Max IV axles.

thats what im thinking i think these might belong to a max 2 or buffalo truck not sure about the hole distance but i do believe from the inner end of the axle that the bolt hols measure the same distance which would basically just make my axles shorter which is a no go

I think Max II axles are substantially longer than a Max IV, aren't they? I've worked with a few sets of the IV axles, but I've never had my hands on a set from a II, so I'm unsure of the length. Stock Max IV axles are pretty short to begin with; I had no idea they made anything shorter for the 'Truck.

You're working with the round axles, not the splined ones right CC? What's the total length of the axle from the wheel mounting surface to the other end?

the real story is a few years back ri shortened max 2 axles 1 inch so if your orignal axles are older they are an inch longer than current production anyone at the factory should be able to tell you when the change was made im not quite shure myself but i have shorter ones in my max 2....
they dont call me mad because im angry!!!!! im just a little crazy thats all!!!!

The MAX IV had 2different axle lengths. About 3/4" overall difference. The older ones were shorter. Inboard end to bolt hole is the same. As long as sprockets line up properly the only difference will be track width and the wheel flanges should be lined up. Goop luck

The next time I'm at Recreatives I'll ask them what years the axle lengths for each machine were changed. I can probably get some answers to this questions straight from the source.
