HELP First time owner of 1970 attex 6x6! baker hill 7000 tranny issues

i just bought my first 6x6. i never even seen one before and i dont know much about it. it has a 433cc yamaha snowmachine motot with twin torque converter set up. It fires right up so the motor works fine...but the transmission? its a baker hill 7000 and i know nothing about it. but its not working right, the right side has no pull, like its not getting any hp or power or anything? I really wanna get this thing going and take it out but i know nothing about how to fix it mechanically...any info, ideas, etc would be great

Welcome to the forum. I know nothing about Baker Hill transmissions but I'm sure some of the Attex guys can chime in to help you out.

Well asking for a video is key here as it could be anything from adjustment to broken or missing pieces.

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
    Joe Camel never does that.

Advice is free, it's the application that costs.

Jim's right; a video will show us a lot as to what your problem is. The Baker/Hill is a pretty solid transmission, but once it's out of adjustment it just doesn't work. There's a manual on this site for the transmission here http://www.6x6world.com/forums/conte...r-manuals.html The transmission section has a lot of information. Good luck!

Here's the link to the Attex manual page. The first generation machine is covered by the third manual on the page. http://www.6x6world.com/forums/conte...r-manuals.html

Yes; same basic pieces, but the shaft size on the 7000 is a larger diameter.

Thanks. I'm having one hell of a time trying to figure out why the right side won't pull. The left side has power but the right doesn't? I haven't even got to ride it yet and this is my first machine... Do u know where I can find a used trans for one of these?
