Primary clutch removal
I know it wasn't going to be easy removing a broken part that has boon on the engine for some 20+ years, but am i missing something? I am trying in vain to remove whats left of the primary clutch, i undid the center bolt and thought the clutch should slide off with the aid of a persuading stick, but still no go, do i hit harder or go with my prefered method of cutting through each side and opening it up as I go?

I thought I was going that way. While I have your attention, is a comet clutch worth having there is a new looking one on the shelf that would be mine for a very little money.
off to fire up the grinder. |

Comet makes good quality clutches and they're worth haviing any time, but the one you see may not be set up for or even fit the engine/application you want to use it for.

Nope, I cut it off, surprised to see only about 2 inch of shaft holding the whole assembly together. I had both pullers and neither fitted, the only bolt I did find that matched the threads stripped them from the clutch so I had to take more extreme measures.
