T-20 rebuilt stick adjustment amount of movement

I just finished installing my rebuilt T-20 and after attaching the springs to the control levers. My movement seems to be between 4 to 5 inches. The manual says there should be between 6 and 10 inches of movement. What is the correct amount for a rebuilt T-20? How do I test it?

as long as the T-20 is functioning correctly and the throw is the same on both sticks, there is no real "correct". it is just a matter of finding where it is comfortable for you. I run mine as tight as i can

I believe the recommended throw varies by model, make of machine. 6-10 is for a iv if I remember correctly, 4-5 is a II as I recall?

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
    Joe Camel never does that.

Advice is free, it's the application that costs.

that would make sense as the length of the actual laterals would change the throw

The "U" channel trans is next to impossible to over tightened due to how it's adjusted.
