    New engine belt alignment problems

    I just got a 1970 scrambler and the engine broke I have a replacement engine I can't get the belt pulley on the first axle to slide over any thoughts.

    Can you Slot the motor mount pad so you can adjust your motor to the drive ?
    That's the easyest way to get a new motor to line up.

    Afraid not it's over as far as it will go. The pull cord housing is bigger on this one then the original. Thats why I was hoping to slide the belt pulley over on the shaft I need about half inch to make it work .
