I tried them 1 month ago. They said they will not, and can not make any gears that could be used in any sort of vehicle, on road, off road, or sport, anything with wheels. They said it voids their insurance.

That is pretty lame. If that held true for all parts suppliers, no one would be making or selling anything, for fear it might be used in a way that might bring them into an alleged lawsuit!

I fully agree, I can't believe we live in a country where lawsuits are so prevalent that this could even be an issue, worst still that wasn't the only place that I got the exact same response from, 3 of 4 (with the 4th pricing me $900) came back with the same exact lawyer disclaimer (we can not make your part it is for a vehicle BS)

Thus from that day on like JoeMeg said I simply do not mentioned what the part is far only the specifications.

I have found a good deal of 12 tooth gears with very similar dimensions (but not quite), but it seems the 13 tooth is completely non existent in anyone's line up period )-:

Still waiting to hear back from Whipper-AG I sent him a PM and an email no response as of yet.
I'm going to stay away from welding it back together. These gears are notoriously frail, if they shatter when completely fresh and in good shape I doubt any weld will hold. Not to mention the fact the weld would have to fit in the keyway somehow.

It is rather frustrating. I recall spending months trying to figure out what was wrong with my Predator 460 only to have a Predator dealer look at it and tell me he couldn't figure it out either, I bought a new one and moved on. The fact I can't just "buy" a solution (for less than a considerable portion of the machines worth) is very aggravating to say the least combined with the fact this isn't like trying to find spare parts for a Quadractor or a Pengor Penguin. This tranimssion was in mass production for decades. Somewhere a box of thousands of these gears are just collecting dust.

Allwheel, maybe you have already seen this, but maybe you should just start emailing some of these folks and see if they have any spare parts.

    I can make that gear.
I'm the opposite of all the other shops,
I only make stuff for fast cars,on road, off-road.
The only vehicle I wont make parts for is a Mudd-Ox

Please help allwheeldrive out, I am itching for some serious action in the mud and woods and he currently is the only one around me that I have had the pleasure to ride with. I had serious plans about using the bigfoot to tow that damn coot out of some more mud holes and im getting plain tired of waiting
