      The left one has a radius on the O.D. That style seem less common. I believe it to be a real early style?

      The right one seems more common and has a flat O.D. I believe it to be a better bearing because the bearing is held away from the body and closer to the tire. That take a lot of stress off the axle. Basically same idea as bearing extensions.

      When removing the axle, the outside of the axle is smaller (25mm outside /1" inside) so make sure you press it the right way out of the bearing.

      so the bearing must come off tords the wheel side of the axle?

      Hey littlford68,
      Yes it does, the whole bearing/flange comes off the wheel side. The bearing pulles out of the flanges on the inner side towards the body.
