Description: I used a level from my table saw to check the jackshafts. it actually worked out pretty good and I also checked it with a tape measure after it was perfectly level.

Description: New inner bearings, this is the rear one under the engine it has a right angle grease fitting that some what helps getting at it for maintenance.

Description: installed a 2 barrel carb on the 18hp briggs along with new valve springs and retainers. I also added the timing advance key and I am in the process of disabling the governor

Description: cleaned the tub out with some citrus based cleaner, the bees loved it. I had to hose it down and spray it with simple green to finish it off and drive away the bees.

Description: here are the axles that came with the project. they were in pretty rough shape when I got them and were just tossed in a metal bucket. it looks like who ever took the machine apart had a hard time. The axles were full of dents from hammering the sprockets off and bearings and were rusted up a bit. One of the axels was also broken right next to the spline where the bearing sits, that one was replaced with a new axle

Description: When I got the project machine it was also missing the internal muffler. I waited a while for them to find this at Muddox. They had just moved and were still unpacking trailers when I placed my order for parts.

Description: Before I started installing the new bearing cages on my max2 I installed the outer bearings and flanges. I also used all stainless hardware hopefully it will last many years.

Description: this is a new chain I am installing next to the one I took out. the old one is about 3/4 of an inch longer and when it was installed I could sqeeze the middle of the chain and touch the top and bottom together. needless to say it made a horrible sound when I drove it like that.

25 inch Dirt Devil tires on a Max2

Description: Had to add spacers so the tires would not hit the inside of the tub. all I could find was 1 3/4 inch ones from argo which ended up to work perfectly. I am running the tires at 3.0lbs and they do great in the mud and do swim but rather slowly maybe around 2mph in the water.
