Argo posi traction idea

Description: This was an idea that cam to me when I tried to drive my Argo without tracks in the snow. As the snow built up under the tub my wheels eventually had nothing to push on and one side started to spin out. I could have just braked that side but seeing I was also pushing snow in front of My Argo I did not have an once of power to spare ..Now new Tires, Tracks or more horse power would have helped and so would have positive traction. In this picture I placed a bar were I was thinking of putting a roller that would press against both discs of the brakes when left and right levers are forward, then release when either lever is pulled back .I was also think of a way to add an emergency/parking brake on the same roller that grange the left and right disc. Before any says just get a T-20 there are many attributes I would be missing and would not want to do without.

Description: While going over my previously owned Vanguard I noticed I need a few minor things like all the maintenance done and chain take up. I also notice some one had used a Rubber band like you find in with a bunch of mail used as a Tensioner spring ( Argo part number 125-61 ) I thought this was funny so I took the best pictures I could but it was dark so they may not turn out so great .

Description: I bought this near Detroit I thought I got a good deal even with the taxes. Tires are a bit worn but every thing works just need roller chain lube really bad. I even bonused a trailer and plow This should hold me over for when I get my 8x8 restored If any Canadian want to know the legitimate exporting procedures from the states PM me One thing you should need to know up front is you have to fax the seller’s ownership/title to the US boarder office you are crossing 72 hours before doing it. Keep the Fax transmission confirmation slip with date and time. Then pay GST and PST on Canadian side unless it is under $750 then just stay a few days in the USA and bring it over tax free.

Description: I thought it was ironic when I headed off to the Detroit area to pick up an Argo and saw this on the way. Notice the Props Sorry for the bad Photo it was snowing and taken threw a car window By the way if any Canadians what to know the legitimate procedures of exporting from the USA PM me. I found a good deal even with paying the taxes. Just fax the title/ ownership to the US boarder side 72 hours before exporting .Make sure you use the same boarder crossing and keep the fax transaction confirmation copy with date and time.

Description: Balloon tires are no longer made this way any more but should be brought back. This offered greater buoyancy in water, raised the water line, reduced the drag and increased the water speed on AATVs. Why did they stop? Bias ply tires are no longer used in automotive and I guess it would not be cost effective yet any one with a few of these lying around can almost name there price.

Description: I told a few friends about how amazing and AATV with tracks are in the snow. They said they cost too much and they are too slow. I said but you have amazing control with an ATTV it can turn on a dime a snowmobile turns wide like a boat. Now that one lost control and ended up in a tree he is seriously considering an AATV.
