Description: This hole was driving me mad. Couldn't figure out why it was there and why it was just a straight hole going straight into the "gearbox". I had no intentions of installing this pump in my build until I was 101% sure it would go the distance if req'd. Could not be sure of that til it was completely disassembled for inspection. This was somewhat intimidating since I could not find ANY info about what this thing may even look like inside. A lot of patience combined with a little common sense and a lot of experience (especially screwing things up!!) eventually led to the complete disassembly of the unit without destroying anything in the process. It turned out to be a "weep" hole for any water that my have bypassed the outermost and has now damaged the next seal in line. I will post a drawing as soon as I make one.

Description: These can be (were) purchased from Adair Argo for a very reasonable price. You will receive them with the flange bolt holes drilled and the stepped down ID's to clear the OEM bearing that is still used in addition.

Description: I turned the face on the back side so this boss engages the hole in the frame. This helps take the now longer flange bolts required out of shear. Kinda supports the body better than 5/16" bolts,in my opinion,too.

Description: Took two times breaking the weld to get it to fall off the car. It's clear that the first break went pretty much 1/2 way around and the second break,as evident by the nice shinny material,finished the job.

Argo Brake Disc

Description: This was result of the "clicking" noise my Argo would occasionally make. Sprocket would "float" on jackshaft and get stuck off center. A through cleaning was needed before feeding a new disc into the mix.

Description: Trying to get the "peak" back in the hood. I've got blocks under the fuel filler hole to hold the body slightly above the pavement allowing the rest to sort of "droop" hopefully while pushing the hood up a bit. Something heavy was bearing on it and pushed it down quite a bit.

Description: Screwed pieces of 2x4 to the body flanges to straighten 'er out a little. The evidence of mud/water coming in between the upper and lower halves can be seen.
