I looked back at your prior pics before the restore, and you did need tires. It does look better w/ black wheels. Feels good to do it right, doesn't it? Looks really nice.

Ah, a fine job Mike. The Rawhide IIIs look great. Now you'll really start breaking stuff. The traction is superb and takes you places you generally should not be.
They're quickly becoming my favorite tire. Okay, they're my favorite.

Those look like the K-locks too. Take the tires down to 1 psi and be done with it. If you loose a bead with those rims, I'll walk down to NC and remount it myself. They're superb.

I can't wait to see it at Ledges next year.

Thanks! It does feel good to be done. Mike, I watched the tire guys take them off/put them on and I knew then that I don't have anything to worry about on the trail.

However, two of the front beads didn't go over the beadlocks. I didn't notice it because the tires were at 10 psi at the shop but once I aired down at home I could see the bead wasn't where it should be. So I have to fix that before I can try it out

Nice work, Mike! Time to buy a few more 6x6's and do some restorations on them.

soapy water helps dont fill them too full when seating the bead you can break a cord in the tire pretty easy then your 22 will be a wobbly 24

put a ratchet strap around the tire when inflating them prevents breaking the cords
