Right before our last trip to Busco Beach, I finally got around to building Jennifer a winch mount for her Max IV so that she could pull me out I used the template the Robinhood02 posted here: http://www.6x6world.com/forums/max-a...imensions.html and only had to make a couple of small modifications to get the newer style mount to work on the older style body. It turned out really well, and the cheap 4500 lb. Champion winch that I bought for it fit perfectly.

Nice work, Mike! And 4,500lbs......you'll be able to pull anything out with that!

      Nice fab work Mike!

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways , cigar in one hand, whiskey in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!!"

Thanks Mike. Looks really nice. What are the odds you want to do another one of these? Just bought a '99 Max IV and need to add a winch. Don't have equip or skills to do it myself.

If not you, are there any other readers out there (ideally in the St. Louis area) who might be interested in fabbing one of these according to the linked prints? I'll install myself. Thanks.

Even better - has anyone seen a setup that incorporates both a winch mount and a trolling motor mount on the same unit?
