      Hello Curtis, this kind of damage is caused by a short or loose or corroded connection which causes a spike in amperage draw which in turn makes heat. You will need to replace both sides of the connector, I used a nytie (nylon zip tie) to hold the connector together on my old magnum so it would not loosen up.
