      Replaced the u channels with a variation of the old popsicle stick. greatly tightened feel of trans. next variation is to add an external bolt on piviot .

      Nice work. I'm in the middle of doing the exact same thing and I even purchased similar clevis pins. What material are those rod ends? Is it just a black oxide finish on standard steel or is it some alien composite that is 83 times lighter than titanium, able to withstand temperatures found on the surface of the sun and priced at a reasonable $1800 per ounce?

      I was shocked at the price of the alloy steel, black oxide finished eyebolts. I think McMaster was over $10 each...
