I’m replacing 4 jack shaft bearings in my 04 avenger. (Only two damaged however because it’s so difficult I opted for total replacement) .Not an easy task however thanks to previous forum contributors it has become possible at least to dismantle. These are not cheap. Anyone aware of a supply outlet that supplies a quality bearing at a reasonable price? 65$-75$ appears as average??
Should I used locktite on bearing set screws? Noticed they were all loose when removed and some scoring on the shaft.
Question: the spline end of the jack shaft is not drill to accommodate the set screw tip. The opposite end is drilled. Does it matter if the set screw set on the ridges or the groves of the spline?
