Remote Grease Block Argo

Has anyone tried this lately? Does anyone have any more pictures or parts list they can provide? do you have to pull the motor to get to the idler bearings? TIA.

Great idea!when the bearins go in my 78 it will get greaseable ones(only the outer ones can be greased)and at least lines to an easy to get to spot if not the block idea!London eh?

Grease block to grease Argo Avenger

You can use a grease block also and only have I fitting to grease. The grease blocks come with 6,8,or 10 ports if I remember right. I use to install the automatic grease systems on 18 wheelers and I use alot of the blocks.

Using the block you would grease one fitting but grease would go to multiple ports. Just another idea if you are interested.

When I first saw the "all new Avenger " a few years ago, a NEW feature was a remote grease block. They had problems with it and cancelled the option. Are there any Argo experts who can tell us what the problem was?

Automatic Systems

450, I am very familiar with both the automatic and manual manifold grease systems. There are many on the market, but personally I prefer "one to one" greasing. I like to "feel" the grease going into each bearing/bushing. But thanks for mentioning it, maybe others would prefer a "one to six" system.

Parts Source

Buckshot, I got the pneumatic fittings and tubing from Hose Headquarters in London, and the grease nipples from Facca Fasteners London. The fittings are made by Parker and are pretty standard in the industry, you should have no problem sourcing them locally. The aluminum stock was from Metal Supermarkets.

The straight tubing fittings were $1.84 ea. the 90's $2.25, 50' tubing $8.00, the aluminum around $10.00, the grease nipples $.18 ea., pretty cheap little project.
