Since I put the hood fan on I don't feel any heat at the fire wall or coming into the cab, when I run the machine wide open (23 mph) I don't feel heat coming back at me. Before the hood fan the heat was almost unbearable. I am really surprised that the hood fan is not standard equipment on all Argos. The best part is those tracks ride on those 24 inch tires and I can haul ass without worrying about the tracks eating my tub or skid plate.

By the way, I just measures the tracks, they are 22 inches wide and if you include the paddles in that measurement they are a full 23 inches wide, by the way those paddles are tough!

Whoa boy! That half track system looks awesome. It came out better than I expected and can imagine the traction that thing generates. Can't wait to see it in person.

I think if I had one I’d replace the factory screens with a more open expanded metal screen to allow more air to pass through. It really helped on my Max engine shroud.
What it lacks in ground clearance it makes up for with traction.

So I reinstalled the full track system back on the Argo yesterday along with a full set of swim paddles. It swims, but slowly, none the less if you can live with a 1 to 1 1/2 MPH swim speed the full track system is awesome. It actually turns better with the full track system, heat is no longer an issue since I installed the factory hood fan that really does keep everything cool. I registered a top speed of 23 MPH with the tracks on and noted that while I was running at speed a lot less power and speed was bled off of every high speed turn. I think I am gonna keep it this way!

Some requested video of my machine in a mud from hell

Dan, you made that soft mud lane look like a ride through the park with grass on it. Those are some VERY aggressive tracks. I'm sure that the fuel injected, 700 engine really helps when you install tracks as aggressive as you have on it now.

That's a fine display for the machine and those Alaskan Bush tracks. Looks like each element performed flawlessly. Nice video.

John, I believe the machine would have made with half tracks. The machine is better under most trail conditions with half tracks. What you did not see in this video was some very serious trail (swamp) conditions that were so bad I couldn't film. There was one trail that was marked FAFO. I asked the the guy on the red quad what that meant and he responded "**** AROUND AND FIND OUT" He followed me with that red lifted Honda and and had the entire machine under water with only a snorkel sticking out of the water. He and I were the only machines that would even try. We both made it with him being off the machine more than on.
