Haven't calculated the total yet. I have been upside down in mine for a while. Just bought 24s, Argo gun rack and received Argo rear bench seat. I have to paint my walnut-shell blasted axle shafts tomorrow and knock the old seals out of the hubs in preparation for install on 8 rebuilt shafts and idler shaft rebuild. Must clean and paint the frame where needed as well. I read your thread about how you got your and I didn't envy the corrosion repair you've suffered. My conquest is black. I hope your top install goes smooth. I'd get a camo top.

Thanks for the tire and photo advise. I still want to know if the 24 frontier tires can cause body damage if they rub occasionally. I have heard that the 22 At189 tire doesn't swim well on the conquest. I'm in the MS delta swamp and we don't run tracks. My original runamucks are dry rotting. I didn't anticipate spending this much to get the conquest back up to standard. I haven't even gotten to the clutch yet. I would like to do RDs governor elimination but don't know how. If I replace the chains up front, do I need to replace the sprockets? They look usable.

Um, Mike............Did you merge a thread started by Mpolly500 with a thread started by Geologic??
Geologic, you can post pics with your Iphone, in a roundabout way.
Open a Photobucket Account
Upload pics to Photobucket
Copy/Paste the Photobucket Pic link to your post on 6x6 World.
Photobucket gives you 3 or 4 link options, the bottom one is the one you want to cut/paste.
The Rawhides will not fit as far as I know. They are just a touch too big. Your Axle C-C's are 24" (First to Second Axles are very slightly less than that). The largest tires I have been able to mount are the 24" Frontiers, and that's VERY tight with only about 3.5-4psi in the tires.
A very noteworthy comment here is that 24" Frontier Tires don't have the best quality control in the world. It is very possible to get ones that are larger and/or smaller than spec. The smaller ones are great for the first/second axles. The larger ones make great.................. trailer tires, I guess

Pretty sure your going to run into a problem with that size rubber the axle spacing might be a problem,on my last machine a late eightys magnum the axles were not spaced wide enough, the Bigfoot that I had and the Avenger I currently own had more room between the axles for the larger tires. But I cant swear to a 2001 Conny whether they had changed the spacing or not.Originally posted by Geologic View PostCan't paste photos from my iPhone so sorry I couldn't show you my 2001 conquest. I need new tires and want to put 24x10x8 rawhide IIIs on my CB19178 Argo. Anyone know if they will fit? I have my original but dry-rotten runamucks to trade.
All the axles and the drive train are out and I have purchased new bearings, seals, rotors, some sprockets, some chains, new belt, new carb etc.
Someone teach me how to post pics from this iPhone and I'll post em.

Thank you for pointing out my mistake. Sorry to both Mpolly500 and you Geologic. I corrected my mistake now.
Where can we find those tires?
