if it is the sheer pin style, just knock the pins out, hose it down with your choice of PB blaster, WD 40, liquid wrench or what ever in any combination of and drive it around the yard. It will free itself eventualy from the sprockets... just make sure that you dont get too far from home, kind of embarasing if you have to walk back

i will be doing the same thing to my 6by6 same vintage when the weather warms up i have no heat in the shop .pic's would be nice .did not think i would need a puller for the axles

thanks started takeing out axels to change bearings but they are hard to get out i put a big puller on after pounding out the axel from the inner bearing on frame then pulled it out and pulled all the rest off also loosend those collars now using emery cloth to clean axel and inside of sprocket collar will post pics as im going

Project for sure put up pics of your progress and get a extra tub of hand cleaner.

Hey bear found pics yea late 70,s early eighty,s,with the Tecumseh single banger,mechanical brakes,they were a decent stick wouldn't break any speed records but they lasted well,should be a ton of parts out there lots were sold back then,too bad I did a huge clean out awhile ago and tossed out boxes of parts that would have fit that,but if anything turns up on my next purge I will let you know.Cheers N.C.T
