The shin guards might not be a bad idea, George. Mike and I were able to get the seat mounted pretty low and far back enough that there is just enough leg room in there.

I bought shin guards to deal with the tight fit. Jeff and I are considerably smaller than you though Jersey.

Very well done, and thanks again Mike!!! It looks just as good in the pictures as it does in person. I couldn't be happier with the way that it turned out. All of the bends, loops, and angles of this cage are almost perfectly symmetrical. Since I have the week off I'll be posting many more pictures as the frame and cage are being painted.

JP came up over the weekend so we could bend up the cage for his new Thunderchief racer. It took about 10 hours worth of bending, cutting, welding and grinding, but we got the first step of the process complete. They say imitation it the sincerest form of flattery. He wanted his cage to look like a couple others I've built, so we tried our darndest. It's mean-looking so far, and will only get better as more parts get welded on...
