3d printing technology is amazing. Scientists printed out a beating heart from a machine filled with cells. I found the 3d model from this quite awhile ago; it seems pretty simple to do and if anyone wants to attempt it I have a bit of a model selection.

George, I just remembered that Evil8x8 made a mold for an Attex nose (Chief/Thunderchief style).Originally posted by George View PostFunny. I've been wondering if I could use a 3-D printing shop to replicated a green poly nose for my current project. I wonder if these machines could make stuff using HDPE.

Well they are building full size houses with a massive 3D printer in China. Likewise, USC in California in is doing the same thing in a few hours. Suppose to revolutionize the housing industry. On site 3D building with plastic concrete on a massive scale.

Isn't the patent up on the metal 3D printers this year ? That should make firearm enforcement interesting over here, will they ban the printers
There's already been a couple of cases of folk printing plastic firearms that worked, when the metal printers come down in price the police will have no control at all over guns.

That is very cool. It would be better as an Attex, but it's still cool.

Here's a cool project that a guy did with his 3D printer......it's an Amphicat toy and it looks pretty accurate compared to the real AATV, but this obviously being a scaled down version.
