Hey all, finally got the spring time itch, so took off the plow and top and looking forward to some fun this season. Ive noticed my rear chains on my max II (94) are really loose, adjusters still have a few clicks in them, but figure I mine as well be proactive and replace the chains. From what I have researched on here, is I need #50 chains? could someone tell me how long these chains are? I have also read these come in 10ft increments, so just curious as to how much chain I should consider for each side. This is the chain going to the REAR axles. Does anyone have any tips on an easier way to access the left side....from the looks of it, it doesnt look like a fun task.
Next issue....squeaking! Ive jacked up the atv, checked for movement on the bearings all all seem very tight. Ive grease the bearings regularly with marine grade grease, but when I slowly move, or rock it to get it into to gear, it sounds like an army tank! Im fearing im doing damage. Anyone have any ideas? is it possible for the bearings to go out, without showing movement when checking for movement in the axle?
Final thing, isnt a big deal, but need a new throttle cable. This season, since I dont have a heated cable YET, it kept freezing up and is stretched.....looks like i'll have a nice shopping list!
Any input greatly appreciated, thanks everyone, and happy riding!
