help! Are all Max iV tops the same?

i want to sell a Max IV top but it seems they had two different, does someone know when they changed the top. Or much more important than that - does someone know if you could use an old top on a new Max IV ?
I want to sell it from germany to someone in america so i have no possibility to try it first.
