I have the motor, pumps and hydro motors out of my KID due to a busted piston, Getting the engine ready to rebuild and looking over things I find that the top stud and nut on the pump to gear housing turn freely. The one on each side of the bottom is rock solid. The top one doesn't seem to want to tighten or loosen..
does that stud thread into the gear housing ?
what should I do leave it or dig deeper?
