  • Bazoo Submarine

yet another day of fun and games, finally got the machine back together with a pullstart and a clutch from the ccw225 I have. need some more carb adjustment as when it gets hot the engine bogs a little. However not as much as it bogs when the drain plug gets ripped out going through some marsh land and then trying to cross a river. The result; a hull full of water and not enough power to do anything, add to this poor ground clearence and you have a red square submarine. While waiding chest deep through water I wondered what others do for pulgs, mine is a boat one (1inch pipe and a interference fit bung). I think I really need to look into a 4 stroke engine, I know I will need to change the primary clutch, but will the secondary clutch need changing also. I'm going to get ccracking on the Jiger as I need something reliable as I seem to be forever fixing the sachs 290.
Bazoo is dried out and back running again despite having the engine soaked in the river (water was being thrown out the hole left by the missing starter before it quit, it put up a good fight though). I think I need to decide what to do with the engine and then work on the drain plugs!
