    The engine is correct. They offered 2 stroke and 4 stroke engines in the Newt's

    Hi Terry,
    The engine is a 399 JLO twin. The back area is a large open space with a soft pad. When you come over I will let you take it for a ride.

    Hey Matt,

    I like that machine. You might be able to sell replicas
    of that grill for some of the Amish to put on their buggies.
    What size engine does it have? Is the back engine compartment
    or passenger seat? Hope to see it in person.

    Hi,

    I have the Newt running!!! I need to do some work on the engine clutch but the Newt rides again!!!! Here are some photos for you to enjoy. I can hardly wait to clean it up, put a new rub rail on and paint the rims.
