Going to toss another feller into the circle of trust,goes by the name of Shorty and hails from the far north,jus this side of the pole is my understanding,dealt with him on buying a Max,no B.S deal up front about everything,told me where there were issues,kept his word and held the machine on my word alone till we could get the deal finished as there is a great deal of distance(miles) between us.Met up at a secret location deal done,Shorty and his wife were last seen knee deep in a Army Surplus store getting supply's for their remote camp.NCT

I'm going to jump on the guyfox bandwagon and add that Tony's an A+ member. He's helped me out with parts as well. And just to encourage more cross-border relations:

throw north country tough into that list as well.treated me great in our dealings.

I'm going to side with plott hound and say that NCT is at least a solid B-, B member. Strike that.... he bought me coffee at a truck stop. I'll elevate that to B+.
All kidding aside, Rob helped me out a ton with the clutch for my 'Newt project. I owe him, big time....

I would have to add member Z240 to the list of good guys. I was looking for a couple parts and he jumped right in. I offered to pay up front for the parts and cost of shipping but he said to wait until I received the parts and to make sure that they work before I pay him. In less then a week I had received the parts in the mail.

jpnewby had a Argo for sale I was going to buy. I could not get there to get it in a timely manner. I did offer to pay him for his time he refused the offer. And I'm glad he was able to sell it quick. I felt guilty as hell about it. JPNEWBY was great about the whole thing I just could not get there in the time he needed it gone I'm glad he was able to sell quickly And he refused my offer to pay him for his time and trouble i caused him. Next week at Ashtabula I'm giving a t-20 to one member(#1) who will deliver it to another member(#2) who cannot attend. A third member is paying me cash that he owes member#2 for some other parts given to him by member #4......is every one following this? and does this make me member# 0 or #5?
Anyway, do I trust them....YEP, every one!

Everyone i have met on this site and dealt with in person have been first class.
It seems the bad apples are quickly removed and the good ones remain to help each other any way they can.
I think a list of the good guys would be too long .....lol

I'm with both of you. It is more fun talking about the bad ones, and you can trust 99.9% of the members here.

I agree with Don. But it would actually be more HELPFUL for others talking about the bad ones & that would be an extremely small list anyway. What goes around comes around. When in doubt, get as many opinions as you can from people you trust. It may put you more at ease or on guard. Ponder this.....I wish I knew then what I didn't know.
