AS i mentioned if u r making a vanguard go faster a carb conversion is a must do
The kohler carb comes of a vtwin 25hp and is 28mm bore with accelerator pump
[accelerator pump will remove flat spots during acceleration ,factory carbs develop flat spots even when the engine has only a little wear and tare ]
[when the factory setup wears a litte eg bore cross hatch fades the ring seal is not as good and therefore sucks lesser amounts of fuel causing a flat spot ]
remove the factory 26mm carb and throw away ha ha ...
An adapter plate needs to be made [simple ]
The air cleaner needs to be used from a kohler [this setup is suseptable to vibration ] or use a snorkel adapter and pipe to a remote air filter
