Richards Relics Engines

I did not get a quote. I went to his website and it says 1700 for a 18 hp engine. Return your engine and get approximately 600/700 back. It just didn't seem quite right and thats why I asked about him and his site. I am researching everywhere including ebay. Northern Tool and Equipment carries Briggs, Honda, Kawasaki and has some prices equal to what I've been seeing in my researching.

Many, many members have had bad experiences with him. You'll end up paying a lot more if you deal with him rather than simply buying an engine on ebay and selling yours here on the site.

Don't do it. Get a Briggs Vanguard or Kohler Command on ebay. Get the correct little governor spring for it from Recreatives and be done with it. You can then sell your old engine here on the 6X6World classifieds and you'll have A LOT more money in your pocket.

Anybody have any input about Richards Relics. I am pricing out engines and he has a return policy where you can buy a engine from him and return yours for a discount on the new engine. Any input would be appreciated.
