vanguard to run on LP

I have to do some maintenance work in a mine every so often and inside some shops. my welder runs on Liquid Propane. I am wondering if anyone has ever converted there aatv to run on LP, and what is involved in doing so.

It's actually pretty easy.
USCarb will sell you an adapter that attaches to your existing carburetor.
You don't have to change jets.
You can call them with the manufacturer of the engine, engine model & serial numbers and for about 150$ they will send you the adapter.
They sell quick connects and hoses for the LP, PPG, or Mobil gas.
You can run what ever combination you like, there are some combos that don't work together.

In general, you'll need a liquid feed propane cylinder, a demand regulator that sends out propane in response to engine vacuum, and a propane carb. What you're looking for is done quite a bit for generators and there are kits available for the Vanguard engines since they're often used in generators in the 10-15 KW size range.

The Zog used to have an Onan that ran on propane in his older Max IV, used 3-4 years like that.
