Kohler K340 2 Cycle

Working with difficulties getting this Kohler 2 stroke running correctly. Have an HR carburetor that keeps flooding the engine when turned off. Once so much gas was in the pre-combustion chamber it backfired and blew off the muffler!!
I also tried a different model number HR carb but same results. Any ideas, what am I missing?
