t 20 adjustments

not sesawing or moving the plungers properly.

What is it doing that makes you need some more adjustments? Pulling to one side, not turning without a lot of pressure on the sticks, etc?

I've tried the adjustment guide several times and still can't get the desired end result. I hate this thing.

Most likely the washer (U-shaped) is bent causing it to not slide freely on the bolt. It's no fun! Your best bet is to get someone else to help you. Hold the bolt with a pair of pliers and then try to tap the washer back with a screwdriver like you were.

I just adjusted mine a couple of weeks ago and had the same problem. Once I got the bolt free I went ahead and took it all the way out. Then I reamed out the hole in the washer slightly so that it would freely slide on the bolt.

That worked great!! now i keep tighening and loosening each side, have no idea how to get it to rock the right way. there a guide to adjusting?

Either that or you can use a thin needle nose pliers,simular to wedge. Just take plier and open jaws just wide enough to fit inside shifter channel on their side with a jaw on each side of adjustment bolt. Place needle nose on top of locker/U-washer and slide up to adjustment bolt then wiggle and slide pliers until bolt "rides"up on pliers while locker/U-washer remains effectively bottomed in shifting channel. This will allow you enough room between the bolt head and the keeper to use a socket to either loosen or tighten the bands. When done just pull pliers out and return bolt into the locker. Hope this makes sense...

there are two bolts on each side that the rocky thing connects to thats attached to the shift lever. around these bolts is a piece of uchannel preventing them from backing out. it feels like its stuck on the head of the bolt, not allowing me to tighten it so that the big u channel can act as a see saw. how the heck do you adjust those. i try to hit the thing that keeps me from getting my socket in with a screw driver and the bolt goes with it.
