I remember you saying that you thought some of the newer style shift collars had fewer teeth . . . you did not think they were larger . . . just fewer teeth that were farther apart. Well, I was looking over my parts list from Recreatives, and it turns out that you were right. They even offer--according to the list I have from them, anyhow--they even offer those relate parts in either 9 or 18 teeth, so you were right on that point. (I have three T-20's with three different shift collars, but all with 18 teeth. Now, we learn that there are also versions out there with 9 teeth.
)So, that confirms that there is yet another version (or more) of the T-20. And, I am guessing that those variation may just be found within the various "modern T-20's," the ones with the C-channel style steering linkage.
There you go, John . . . even more parts to worry about in reference to cross compatibility.
Ah well . . . that's what keeps up young.
I'm wondering if there is more than two variations on these collars now. I will have to check next time I have the Wolf's tranny apart. Wait, I actually hope I don't have to do that any time soon
