  • That was a major concern of mine too, but when I posted the question I was told that it's not an issue. I have a vast amount of experience with UHMW and know how tough it is, but I was worried that I might be able to snap a chain in the track or something. It seems that the new generatin of Track is fitted with "Case Hardened Chain" to help eliminate stretch and increase strength. I forgot what the new chain is rated at, but I think the older generation was rated at something like 850lbs (There is a Centaur that has been running the older generation 24" wide Adairs for the last 2 yrs without any issues at all, so I think the chains are strong enough).
Why did he have to take the whole track system apart? They look like they are just screwed into the faces. Those studs don't look like they are going to help him all that much, but like I said in that other post, I don't know much about Picks/Studs.
