Hello; According to the T-boss specs, it is engineered to be powered by a 18-20 hp engine. Regardless of 2 or 4 stroke. I'm not sure what hp your 340 twin puts out, but as long as it isn't (Much) over 20 hp, I don't think you will have any concerns about "Overpowering". I'm running a B&S 14 hp vanguard in mine and that is plenty of power for what I use it for. (HUNTING! and dragging deer out of the woods.) I considered swapping with an extra 18 hp that I have laying around here, but why fix what's not broken? (YET!) Been running my setup for about 6 years now and have had no problems what-so-ever.
