Carb issue - 16 hp briggs

Idles great @ 900 rpm, but crack the throttle and you get a quick bog down the it speeds up fine. Droplets of gas come out top of carb when it bogs though.

    Overhaul carb?

    Ideas?

    Thanks

You may be able to buy a new one as cheap as a kit.

I would start with trying to gravity feed carburetor to eliminate fuel pump issues.

Then move toward the carburetor repair

Could the float be sticking? That would explain gas coming out where it shouldn't be.

my .02 cents is to overhaul the carb, clean the crap out of the main and secondary jets, make sure you have a fuel filter inline, float adjusted properly, I have 2 in line, a grain of anything can cause issue's, it happened to me, hence my 2 filters. and never ever use gas with Ethanol
